As a class you failed miserably at simply following directions and mimicking what you saw on the screen. This will get you fired ASAP. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you can’t follow simple directions, a design firm will quickly find someone who can!

I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to do this, but since you couldn’t collectively follow directions, you will be spending the class today creating a file management style guide. You will use this style guide to check your work prior to handing it in. If any future files deviate from how they are instructed in the style guide they will be considered late until fixed!

During class I will go over how to properly name your files ONCE AGAIN, and the reasoning behind it. At the end of class you will turn in an 8.5” x 11” Adobe Illustrator file (or InDesign if you know it. This is a better tool for print layout. Sketch or Xd CC is the correct tool for interactive layouts) containing all the file naming rules that I will discuss again in class. Title the document as follows and send it to me via my UMBC email address (see below). This will be worth 10 points.
