Today in class you will start drawing letterforms by hand. The point of this exercise is to carefully study the various parts of letterforms, and to begin to appreciate typography in all forms.

I will be handing out letterform sheets in class for you to begin this exercise. You only need to hand draw 6 of the 9 sets: two serif, two sans-serif, one script, and one display font set. Each set consists on a capital letter, a lowercase letter, and a lowercase bold or italic letter.

You can download the letterform sheets here.
