We will have two discussion days for The Icarus Deception: How High Will You Fly? by Seth Godin and A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future by Daniel H. Pink. The Icarus Deception will be discussed in class on 05.03.16 and A Whole New Mind will be discussed in class on 05.05.16.
Be prepared to actually TALK and DISCUSS the contents of the book on these two days! The point of this is not to be punitive, rather it’s meant for each group to share the knowledge and insights from these books with each other. Think of it as a “book club” meeting. You should plan on brining snacks and such to help keep the discussion light.
This reading will be worth 15 points.
The following is an ongoing list of readings that you will need to complete over the course of the semester. I will usually begin checking that you have posted responses to the readings on your course blog on Wednesdays. This will give you just under a week to complete them.
Some reading responses will be have specific objectives, others will be general. For reading responses that don’t have specific requirements here are a few things to keep in mind as you write your response.
Your reading responses will generally be worth 5 points.
Your reading responses will need to be posted to your assigned class blog which we will discuss during the first class.
